RALEIGH, N.C. — Income at Oasys Mobile, a provider of content and services for the mobile media market, reached a record high of $2.12 million in the first quarter, the company announced Thursday morning.

However, losses also increased for the Raleigh-based firm.

Oasys (OTCBB: OYSM) income was up 6.4 percent from the same quarter in 2005 and 4 percent higher than the fourth quarter of last year.

Overall losses climbed to $3.41 million from $1.64 million in 2005. Among the increased costs was a $316,000 charge for stock options as required by new accounting guidelines.

Oasys changed its name from Summus and launched a new web portal earlier this year.
