KIRLKAND, WA. — Wireless broadband provider Clearwire, which provides service across the Triad in North Carolina, is teaming up with AOL to offer a wireless brand of the news, information and entertainment service.

Clearwire offers service in some 200 markets. A startup led by cellular pioneer Craig McCaw, Clearwire utilizes WiMax technology. it is based in Kirkland.

The AOL service is available now in Daytona Beach and Jacksonville FL. as well as Stockton and Modesto CA. Cost is as low as $25.90 per month.
