MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Douglas Adams, a former executive with 3Com Corporation, is the new vice president for business development at Bright View Technologies.

Bright View is developing technology that includes the brightness and sharpness on screen displays in a variety of different forms ranging from rear projection to plasma.

Adams was a director at 3Com, an internetworking firm based in Boston. Among his roles was as director of worldwide marketing.

“Optical films are improving performance and the viewing experience in virtually every type of display,” Adams said. “Bright View is introducing products based on virtually all display technologies including liquid crystal display, organic light emitting diode, rear projection and front projection.”

Bright View closed on $7.5 million in venture capital in March and named Ed Teague, a former executive at Cree, as chief executive officer two weeks later.
