Sixteen teams will be competing for $50,000 in prize money in the finals of the Carolina Challenge entrepreneurial business competition on April 22.
The teams include eight with commercial applications and eight with social venture projects.
The finals will begin at 3 PM at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. The competition began with 159 teams.
Winners in each category will receive $12,500.
Semifinalists in the Social Track are: Campus Biodiesel, Carolina Alliance for Legal Learning, Lending Library, Global Women’s Network, Go!, Rival Magazine, Zarkan and Zebra Crossings.
Semifinalists in the Business Track are: 4 Corners Wine, Health e-Lunch Kids, Height Couture, Icardiogram, MCATegories, Resusitech, TRG Online and Virtuous Women.
