Encelle, which has developed technology for the repair or regeneration of diseased or damaged tissue, is teaming up with a Michigan firm for product development.

Encelle will work with Pioneer Surgical Technology on the development of a bone graft “extender” that could stimulate healing for a variety of spinal applications, the companies said.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Encelle’s lead product is known as E-Matrix. The firm has developed patented tissue regeneration technology.

Pioneer develops, manufactures and distributes orthopedic and spinal implants and instruments.
