The challenges of starting a company, from legal issues to turning scientific knowledge into a business, will be the subject of a panel discussion April 17 put on by the Council for Entrepreneurial Development.

The event starts at 5:30 PM at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center.

Panelists include: Merrill Mason, partner, Smith Anderson Blount Dorsett Mitchell & Jernigan LLP; Jeff Clark, managing general partner, The Aurora Funds; Michael Murphy, president and chief executive officer, Gentris Corporation; and Cedric Pearce, CEO, Mycosynthetix.
