Duke University will unveil plans for a Global Health Institute at a symposium hosted by the university next week.
The Institute will focus on education, research and service to improve health care for underserved populations locally, regionally and globally.
Duke President Richard Brodhead and Health Affairs Chancellor Victor Dzau, MD, will disclose plans for the Institute at the two-day event, which will focus on global health issues. Brodhead said in 2005 that global health would be a priority for Duke.
