i2Telecom International, a provider of Voice over Internet Protocol services, is rolling out an IP-based TV service.
i2TV utilizes voice and video over IP (VvoIP) technology for use over broadband networks.
The service is available free of charge as part of a trial offering. I2Telecom plans to charge $12.99 a month for the service.
Video offerings range from CNN News to various sitcoms. Networks such as ESPN and MTV will be offered at additional charge.
I2Telecom is working with VisioNet Television Network, which has licensed foreign and domestic content for rebroadcast over IP networks.
