GREENVILLE,Three leaders in entrepreneurship are scheduled to be among the speakers at the InnoVenture 2006 venture and technology conference.

The event is set for March 28-29 in Greenville.

John Butler, Todd Wright and Walter Alessandrini head the speaker list.

Butler is director of the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship, director of the Institute for Innovation and Creativity at the University of Texas, and also is author of “Entrepreneurship and Self-Help Among Black Americans: A Reconsideration of Race and Economics.”

Wright is director of Savannah River National Laboratory.

Alessandrini is a former chief executive officer of one of Pirelli Cables and Systems North America and CEO of Avanex, which he took public in 2000. He currently is CEO of Ometric, one of the companies presenting at the conference.
