Telecommunications provider FairPoint Communications expects to net between $12 million and $16 million from the sale of a minority interest it has in First Cellular of Southern Illinois.
FairPoint and other shareholders in that company have agreed to sell it to Alltel.
The deal is expected to close in the second quarter.
