Mi-Co, the RTP-based firm focused on mobile data, launched a new software development kit (SDK) focused on medical applications at the Health Information and Management Systems Society conference in San Diego.

The kit is to be made available in March.

The SDK is based on Microsoft .Net and is intended to incorporate Mi-Co’s Mi-Forms handwriting recognition, natural user interface and support of numerous mobile data capture platforms, such as Tablet PCs to digital pens, into existing software applications. Possible applications include electronic medical records.
