WINSTON-The federal government has approved a drug development deal for Targacept, triggering a $10 million payment to the biotech firm.
Targacept said Monday that it had been notified of the federal review approving its agreement with international drug giant AstraZeneca AB.
The two firms plan to develop and commercialize a drug targeting Alzheimer’s disease.
