DULLES,America Online is teaming up with BellSouth to offer access to the AOL network and services through BellSouth digital subscriber line (DSL) service.

The monthly cost will be $29.95.

AOL also said it would work with Time Warner Cable for cable Internet access, as well as Verizon and other DSL suppliers. The cost could be as low as $25.90, AOL said.

“We are taking advantage of the improving economics of broadband access to create an offering that combines the AOL service with the speed of broadband at a competitive price,” said Jonathan Miller, chairman and chief executive officer of America Online. “In so doing, we’re building a better experience for our members, bringing new subscribers to our network partners, and enhancing the lifetime member value of our customer relationships.”
