SAS placed among the three software leaders in six categories in a new survey of the retail industry by Retail Information Systems News.

The Software LeaderBoard 2005 was based on a survey of more than 200 retail executives with information technology responsibility.

SAS placed in the top three in overall performance; strategic value; customer satisfaction and recognition; return on investment; quality of support; and ease of upgrading.

“SAS continues to gather momentum in the retail market, from its growing list of retail intelligence software solutions to its list of major retail clients like Kohl’s and Wal-Mart,” said Joe Skorupa, group editor-in-chief of RIS News. “SAS was very highly regarded among the retail executives that we surveyed for the software and service it provides retailers today, and we expect continued retail industry momentum from this business intelligence and analytics giant in 2006.”
