BellSouth is adding capabilities to its Internet Protocol TV trial.
The telecommunications firm, which already is working with Microsoft to develop an IPTV system for delivery of multimedia entertainment, has signed on to utilize a satellite system from SES Americom in Princeton, NJ.
SES Americom offers a centralized means to bundle and distribute hundreds of programs.
“SES Americom enables us to make additional content available to BellSouth’s IPTV trial participants as we continue our analysis of this technology,” said Don Granger, president of BellSouth Entertainment.
