Verbatim, a developer of digital content storage products, is close to rolling out a new recordable DVD that will support high definition standards.
The HD DVD-R will support 15 gigabytes of information. It is to be released in “early 2006”, Verbatim said.
A dual layer disc supporting 30 gigabytes of information is expected to be available before the end of the year.
