Stephen Ward, the former IBM executive who led the sale of Big Blue’s personal computing division to Chinese giant Lenovo, says he leaves his job with “a sense of accomplishment”.
In an interview with Business Week, Ward said he reached his goals with Lenovo, such as branding concerns.
“I’ve spent the last two years working on this,” he said in the interview. “I have a sense of accomplishment.”
Ward is being replaced by former Dell executive William Amelio.
Most of the former IBM workers now employed by Lenovo are based in Research Triangle Park.
