VistaScape Security Systems, a developer of automated wide-area surveillance software, will be used as part of the security system at the Port of Baltimore.
VistaScape’s SiteIQ is used at several ports across the country. The prime contractor for the Baltimore deal is Adesta LLC of Omaha, NE.
SiteIQ provides a single-screen view of an entire area and detects, tracks and classifies objects while plotting movement on the screen.
“Technology is a vital component for maintaining the Port’s competitive edge and ensuring continuity of operations,” said Maryland Port Administration Executive Director Brooks Royster. “VistaScape and Adesta will provide the Port with a leading-edge surveillance technology that is proven at other major ports around the country.”
