Think Partnership To Acquire Click Fraud Detection Firm

Think Partnership, the parent company of RTP-based search engine technology firm WebSourced, is acquiring a fraud detection firm.

The company said Monday it was buying Litmus Media which is based in North Kansas City, MO.

The deal calls for Think Partnership to pay $6.5 million in cash and $6.5 million in stock for Litmus. Earnout payments could push the value of the deal to $21 million.

Litmus has developed both a click fraud technology as well as a patent-pending means of helping online retailers capitalize on “abandoned” shopping carts for online retailers. The so-called Second Bite application is designed to help retailers recover more sales.
