Red Hat has bought out its partner in India and plans to invest $20 million over the next several years to expand its operations there, the company said Wednesday.
Red Hat, which is based in Raleigh, is a developer of Linux software. It plans to triple the number of staff in India from the current 140, according to media reports.
Red Hat bought out the 40 percent of Red Hat India Pvt. Ltd. Held by Javed Tapia. The sales price was not disclosed.
