Joel Hackney, a former executive with GE, is the new global supply chain and quality leader for Nortel.
He will be based in Research Triangle Park.
Mike Zafirovski, the new chief executive of Nortel, made the announcement about Hackney on Thursday. Hackney will report directly to the CEO.
“Joel is a values-based leader with a proven track record of turning businesses around, developing people and teams, growing sales, enhancing profit margins, increasing delivery service, improving customer satisfaction, and reducing supply chain cycle time,” said Zafirovski. “He brings significant strategic, operational and leadership assets to Nortel.”
Hackney spent 14 years at GE.
