BellSouth is expanding its wireless broadband service to two more cities.

Gulfport and Biloxi, MS, both of which were badly damaged by Hurricane Katrina, will receive the new service which BellSouth is rolling out across its Southeast coverage area.

“Small businesses and homeowners are still rebuilding, and they are looking to BellSouth to provide the critical communications they need to get their lives in order,” said John McCullouch, president of BellSouth’s Mississippi operations. “Our wireless broadband service will provide customers with a viable and economical solution for high-speed Internet access.”

The service, which offers download speeds up to 1.5 megabits per second or the equivalent of a high-speed land line, is also available in New Orleans, Athens GA and Palatka FL.
