TUCKER, GA. — CoalTek, which says it is developing technology to convert low-quality coal into clean coal alternative fuels, has closed on $7.685 million in Series A funding, according to Private Equity Wire.

Providing the funding were Warburg Pincus, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Braemar Energy Ventures and Technology Partners, PE Wire said, citing a regulatory finding.
