James DeBlasio is the new president and chief executive officer of Internet network services provider Internap,
DeBlasio replaces Gregory Peters, who resigned, the company said in a statement issued Monday morning before the markets opened. DeBlasio had been the company’s chief operating officer since September and became a member of its board in August of 2003. He had served as head of the audit committee.
Before joining Internap (Amex: IIP), DeBlasio had been an executive with Lucent.
