Shares in Linux software developer Red Hat (Nasdaq: RHAT) dropped 5.6 percent on Tuesday after the stock was downgraded by Banc of America Securities.
The analyst firm cut the stock to neutral from buy. Shares closed at $22.99.
Three other firms have initiated coverage of Red Hat since Oct. 31, including Morgan Stanley at equal weight; Goldman Sachs at in-line and Deutsche Securities at hold.
