Jim Goodnight, chief executive officer of SAS, is among the newest members named to the CRN Industry Hall of Fame.

CRN is a news publication from CMP Media.

Goodnight was honored for his more than 30 years of service to the technology industry. He was one of SAS’ co-founders. SAS is one of the world’s largest privately held software companies.

Other Hall of Fame members include Andy Grove, Steve Jobs, Michael Dell, William Hewlett and Bill Gates. The Hall of Fame was established in 1997.

“I’m grateful to CRN for this honor,” said Goodnight in a statement. “It’s been an exciting and challenging journey to this point, and this induction and the success of SAS would not have been possible without the talent and commitment of the company’s employees and customers.”

CRN will publish details of its latest Hall of fame choices in its Dec. 12 issue.
