RESTON,Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S) picked Wall Street financial advisory firm Lazard on Sunday as its appraiser in a dispute with Nextel partners.
Nextel Partners is being represented by Morgan Stanley.
The dispute centers around the merger of Sprint and Nextel earlier this year. Nextel Partners, a Nextel affiliate, has nearly 2 million customers and wants to be bought out at a premium as a result of the merger.
Both companies agreed to pick arbitrators to help resolve the dispute.
Sprint Nextel has already settled lawsuits with several other affiliates that resulted from the merger.
