Industry veteran Erik Smith has joined semiconductor firm Qcept as its president and chief operating officer.
Smith will report to Chief Executive Officer Bret Bergman.
Qcepts provides “chemical surface inspection” tools designed to produce fewer defects in semiconductor production.
Smith has more than 15 years of experience in the semiconductor field, including 12 years at Ultratech where he was senior vice president of world wide sales and marketing.
