Cisco Systems released a patch last week for a critical flaw in its Internetworking Operating System (IOS), which is used to run routers and switches. NewsFactor reports that the discovery of the bug came three months after a security expert’s controversial disclosure at a conference of a similar defect in the Cisco IOS that allowed him to gain control over a router.
