Cisco is moving ahead with Phase II of its Network Admission Control program. It includes the ability to block network access or dangerous clients at the local area network and wireless LAN device level, NewsFactor reports.

“Cisco took its time developing the technology and now finds itself behind many vendors already shipping similar products, some for more than a year,” the story from Network World says. “Cisco’s 70 percent stake in LAN switch sales will provide ample opportunity for catching up, experts say.”
