Talecris Biotherapeutics, the new company formed earlier this year from Bayer Healthcare Biological Products’ Division in RTP and Clayton, is putting in place a new management team.
Larry Stern, the executive chairman of the company since its launch in April, will serve as chairman of the board.
Joining the company as chief executive officer is Alberto Martinez, a former executive at ZLB Behring where he was executive vice president of worldwide operations.
Taking over as chief financial officer is John Hanson, who was CFO at Andrex Corporation.
The new vice president of human resources is Mel Asbury, an executive at SpectraSite.
Talecris employs some 1,700 people and maintains its headquarters in RTP as well as a large production facility in Clayton.
