A Silicon Valley start-up company, P.A. Semi, is developing a low-power-consumption processor, based on the “Power” architecture at the heart of Mac computers, NewsFactor reports.

The processor can be used in high-performance computing and embedded applications.

P.A. Semi licensed PWRficient architecture from IBM to design, manufacture, and sell processors that comply with current and future version of the Power architecture family, NewsFactor says.
