Peak 10 has added Churchill Downs Incorporated (Nasdaq: CHDN) to its growing portfolio of customers. Churchill Downs Incorporated, which owns and operates horse racing venues throughout the United States, will deploy a Metro Ethernet solution to enhance its wide area network (WAN) and risk mitigation plan. Peak 10 will provide these services out of its Louisville data center.
“Peak 10’s Metro Ethernet service, combined with its Louisville team’s engineering and support expertise, has enabled us to meet bandwidth demands affordably,” said Jay Rollins, vice president of information technology with Churchill Downs Incorporated. “Metro Ethernet offers us a scalable and flexible solution that enhances our network and also mitigates risk by enabling faster, more cost-effective data back-up and replication.”
Earlier this month Peak 10’s Louisville location officially changed its name from Xodiax to Peak 10. The name change coincided with the preview of its new 25,000 square foot Louisville data center. The expansion was fueled by the company’s success in the Louisville market and the growing demand for high-end managed services and infrastructure hosting throughout the region.
