Charlotte-area expert on Software as a Service (SaaS), Rufus Lohmueller, will serve as a panelist at the Business, Innovation & Growth monthly meeting tonight from 5:30-7:30pm at Byron Hall at South End.

President Rufus Lohmueller will present on the topic of Embracing the Right Technology for the Entrepreneur & Small Business Owner hosted by the Charlotte Chamber’s BIG Council.

Small businesses and newly formed companies need accounting, customer relationship management, sales force automation, and a web presence, just like larger, established companies do. Where do owners begin?

“The information revolution spurred by the internet has opened up new options for the small business owner,” said Rufus Lohmueller, president and owner of Lohmueller. “Now, the technology exists that provides functionality that were previously only affordable to larger companies. Software as a Service (SaaS) eliminates much of the overhead expenses – such as servers, technical staff, lengthy implementations, and large up-front expenditures.”

Headquartered Raleigh, with an office in Charlotte, Lohmueller (www.lohmueller.com) provides technology consulting services with a specialized focus with the Web-based software developed by NetSuite. Rufus is a native of Sanford and a graduate of UNC-Charlotte.

The event is free to BIG Council members, $25 for guests. Register online at www.bigcouncil.com.
