Kershaw County Medical Center is the latest customer to sign on to utilize Mi-Forms from RTP-based Mi-Co.
The medical center will use electronic Mi-Forms initially for data in its diabetes program.
“We have specific goals in mind with the implementation of this technology,” said Diane Arrants, director of information technology at KCMC, “and we expect an overall decrease in costs related to printing forms, copying forms, storing forms and completing forms. In addition, we feel that the quality of our data will continue to increase because we will eliminate potential errors that occur when data is manually transferred into an electronic database from pen/paper entries. We like the fact that the staff will have the effectiveness of an electronic process but the ease of use of a paper system.”
The Mi-Forms software will be used on Tablet PCs from Gateway utilizing the Windows XP Table Edition operating system.
