WINSTON-Michael Dell, chairman of computer giant Dell, will be on hand next Wednesday when Dell dedicates its 750,000 square foot computer assembly plant in the Triad.
The plant, which Dell describes as its “largest manufacturing site to date” is located in the Alliance Science & Technology Park in Winston-Salem. It will produce “built-to-order” PCs for both businesses and consumers.
Dell said it plans to hire 700 people to man the plant in the first year and build toward a total headcount of 1,500.
The ceremony will begin at 2:45 PM.
