The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University will launch a Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation this week.

Dean Douglas Breeden will announce details, including the name of a faculty director and an executive director for the center, at the Entrepreneurship Symposium being hosted by Fuqua on Wednesday.

The Center will also receive support from the Pratt School of Engineering, the Duke Medical School and the Duke Law School.

“(T)he center also intends to support the university’s efforts to spawn new ventures and transfer technology,” Duke added in a statement.

At the Symposium, Jay Faires, the founder of Mammoth Records in Carrboro and president of Lions Gate Music and Publishing, will give the keynote address.
