DULUTH,Concurrent will offer a new suite of application development tools for Linux in an attempt to capitalize on growing demand for Red Hat Linux applications.
Concurrent (Nasdaq: CCUR) said Wednesday its new NightStar LX suite was developed to work with Red Hat Linux. Previously, Concurrent offered NightStar development tools for use with the RedHawk Linux operating system.
Concurrent cited recent statistics that showed worldwide Linux sever sales had topped $1 billion for each of the last four quarters as a reason for its new product line.
NightStar is used by numerous automotive, aerospace and defense companies, according to Concurrent. The Georgia-based firm provides high-performance computer systems, solutions and software.
