Red Hat (Nasdaq: RHAT) will host its second “Summit” for Linux software users on May 30-June 2 in 2006.

The event will take place in Nashville.

The first summit took place earlier this year in New Orleans.

“The Summit is Red Hat’s answer to costly, corporate conferences delivering little value to participants,” said Michael Tiemann, vice president of Open Source Advocacy at Red Hat. “We invite customers, partners and users to share open source best practices, discuss how to solve problems, and find better ways move technology forward.”
