CHARLOTTE –US LEC (Nasdaq: CLEC) reported an $8.9 million loss for the most recent quarter on Thursday, up from a $5.1 million loss from the same period in 2004.

Overall, revenues increased to $95.3 million, or $3.7 million more than in 2004. However, the telecommunications provider also suffered an $8.9 million drop in inter-carrier revenues from other telephone service providers.
