Icoria, the biopharma firm focused on human healthcare after transitioning from a focus on plant science, has added Duke University executive Anna Mae Diehl. to its scientific advisory board.

Diehl is chief of the Division of Gastroenterology at Duke University and director of the Duke Liver Center, and is an expert in basic research and clinical treatment for chronic liver disease.

“We are extremely pleased that Dr. Diehl has agreed to join our scientific advisory board,” said Thomas Colatsky, Icoria’s Chief Scientific Officer. “Dr. Diehl’s experience in chronic liver disease at both the bench and bedside will be invaluable to Icoria as we seek to develop new diagnostic panels to monitor disease state and patient response.”
