Pharmasset, an emerging pharmaceutical company focused ondiscovery, development, and commercialization of novel antiviral drugs, has relocated to Princeton NJ from Atlanta.

“Access to expeirenced pharmaceutical talent in the area was the key factor in our decision to move,” according to Schaefer Price, Pharmasset’s president and chief executive officer.

“After a thorough evaluation of several scientific hubs throughout the United States, we concluded that Princeton offers the ideal combination of industry infrastructure and quality of life that will allow the Company to grow in support of our small molecule research and clinical development pipeline of antiviral therapeutics,” he added in a statement. “We now also have easier geographic access to Incyte and Hoffmann-La Roche, our corporate partners for our HIV and HCV collaborations, respectively.”
