BellSouth’s earnings dropped 11 cents a share in the most recent quarter due in large part to costs associated with Cingular’s acquisition of AT&T Wireless.
BellSouth owns Cingular along with SBC Communications.
In the most recent quarter, BellSouth reported $795 million, or 43 cents a share, in profits vs. 54 cents a share in 2004.
