Silverpop, a provider of permission-based email marketing solutions and services, is integrating functionality with customer relationship management applications from Salesforce.com.

The integration will permit clients using Salesforce.com and Silverpop to share data gathered through both applications, according to Silverpop. The solution is designed to improve customer relationship messaging and management.

“This integration with Salesforce.com’s leading customer relationship management application offers real benefits to sales and marketing professionals,” said Bill Nussey, chief executive officer of Silverpop, in a statement. “It makes it significantly easier to communicate in very meaningful, one-to-one ways with prospects and customers.”

For example, users can avoid sending redundant messages to clients and also honor “do not email” lists as well as other opt-in or opt-out information.

“This really provides strong tools that benefit CRM efforts,” Nussey said. “It brings the power of an enterprise-class e-mail marketing solution to the desktop of sales and marketing professionals for their one-to-one messages. The integration provides the rich data tracking Silverpop offers. It’s easy to see a complete recipient history showing when contact was made and what was sent. Reports show opens, click-throughs, bounces and opt-outs. It puts solid, actionable information right at your fingertips.”
