Misys Healthcare Systems is looking for a new president of its hospital systems business unit.
Current President Andrew Lawson has asked for other duties but will stay in the post until a successor is found the company said. Misys said it is looking outside its ranks for the new executive.
“Andrew Lawson came to me recently and indicated that he felt it was time for someone new to take the reins of our Hospital System business unit. I made it very clear to Andrew that I wanted him to remain with Misys and needed his perspective and capabilities,” said Tom Skelton, Misys Healthcare Systems’ chief executive officer. “He is a trusted colleague who has always done whatever needed to be done for the company. He will transition to a new role providing leadership to Misys Healthcare Systems’ initiatives where we might all benefit from his experience and skills.”
