Charlotte’s new Women in Information Sciences and Engineering will host its first event on Wednesday — a panel discussion about career advancement along with networking.

Panelists will discuss “How to Rise to the Top and Stay There (in a Man’s World)”. The program is sponsored by Queen Associates and Wachovia Corporation. A reception begins at 5:30 PM. The event is scheduled at the Levine Musem of the New South.

Theresa Payton, senior vice president of consumer and small business banking at Bank of America, will moderate the panel. Participants include: Theresa Wilson, CIO, Commercial Banking at Wachovia; Cheryl Keller, Senior Vice President of Customer Information, Bank of America; Jolanta Zwirek, CIO, Coca-Cola Bottling; and Leslie Ennis, CIO, Piedmont Natural Gas.
