Darleen Johns, president and owner of Alphanumeric Systems and one of the pioneers among women in technology, recently received an “NC Notable” award.
Johns was recognized for her professional and philanthropic efforts in North Carolina. Alphanumeric is one of the largest systems integrators and information technology providers in the Carolinas.
The NC Notable award is based on such criteria as integrity, service, and leadership.
In April, Johns received a women of achievement award from the General Federation of Women’s Clubs.
Alphanumeric, meanwhile, was awarded the Pinnacle Society’s Award for Continued Achievement by the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.
