Morris, Manning & Martin is adding a second attorney to its new office in Research Triangle Park NC and a new attorney in both mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property in its Atlanta office.

The new hires are among nine changes and additions to the law firm, which also has a practice in Charlotte.

Scott Allen joins MM&M to focus on mergers and acquisitions in the Atlanta office. He worked previously for King & Spalding. Allen is a graduate of Emory Law School.

Katherine Lahnstein, who worked previously for Hill, Kertscher & Wharton, is now part of MM&M’s intellectual property group in Atlanta. She is a graduate from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Kandas Burnett is the second attorney to join the RTP office. She is a graduate of the University of Tulsa law school and earned an undergraduate degree at UNC Charlotte.
