Three North Carolina firms are among the 41 emerging tech companies selected to present at the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association Capital Connection venture fair in Baltimore.

The two-day event is set for May 31-June 1.

Nextreme Thermal Solutions, Trinity Convergence and Taproot Systems are the NC-based firms.

Nextreme is a startup focused on developing components that will act as miniature heat pumps to cool semiconductors, electronics and optoelectronic devices.

Trinity is focused on Voice over Internet Protocol applications.
Taproot develops embedded software for wireless devices.
