Top executives from IBM and Triangle universities will gather today in RTP to discuss progress being made in Big Blue’s “Academic Initiative” to create more computer science and engineering graduates for future jobs.

The full-day program at the IBM Employee Activity and Fitness Center will include chairs and department heads at computer science and engineering programs at UNC-Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, Duke, and N.C. A&T.

IBM executives taking part include Rusine Mitchell Sinclair, the senior state executive for North Carolina; Gina Poole, the worldwide academic initiative vice president; and Sue Horn, software group vice president.

An estimated 80 graduate students are also expected to participate.
